Paris, 1885… In the heart of a Paris shaken by economic, social and artistic change, children are left to their own devices. Eugenie, a 12-year-old girl abandoned at birth by her mother and raised by her uncle Edmond, a police commissioner, is friends with Arthur, an apprentice glassworker bullied by his father, and Charles, a stubborn street orphan. Together they form the “Brotherhood of Vidocq”. Their goal: solve the many mysteries of Paris and, at the same time, turn their unexciting lives into a thrilling novel full of adventure and danger.
